The Bucket List

Here are the adventures I want to do and places I would love to visit. I have already completed some of them and still planning to complete the rest.

Join me in my journey as I try to achieve and add more travel goals to my bucket list. I also write all about my completed bucket list experience in this travel blog.

Aurora Australis

Aurora Borealis

Bridge Climb – Sydney

Cage Dive – South Africa

DisneySea – Japan

Tokyo, Japan
August 2016

DisneySea was a must-see for me as Tokyo DisneySea is the only DisneySea in the world. Although I was there on my own, I enjoyed every bit of my visit. I loved all the themed ports, most especially the Mermaid Lagoon.

I had fun on the rides, ate delicious food, waited patiently in the queues and watched the shows (even though it was in Japanese and I hardly understood it).

DMZ – South Korea

South Korea
March 2017

Korea is the only remaining divided country in the world. North and South Korea share a secure area where their officials meet for peace talks and other national issues.

I did the Demilitarised Zone (DMZ) + Joint Security Area (JSA) tour at the time when South Korea was in the process of impeaching their leader and North Korea was constantly on the news for their nuclear weapons.

On my second visit to South Korea, I got to do the DMZ morning tour. The JSA tour was not available as the government relations between North and South Korea was not good and tensions was high.

The two times I did the DMZ tour were scary times to visit the area but we were very fortunate to have great guides on our tour. The guides made the tour fun despite the tension-filled atmosphere.

Quokka Selfie – Rottnest Island

Rottnest Island, Western Australia
February 2018

Quokkas are known to be the happiest animal in the world. They are natives of Western Australia and they roam freely at Rottnest Island.

It wasn’t that hard to find a quokka in the island. The struggle was taking a decent selfie as I looked haggard while the quokka looked so cute as.

Note: Please do not harass or chase a quokka just to get a selfie with them. There are a lot of quokkas on the island so if a quokka hops away, you can always find a quokka that’s willing to take a selfie with you because quokkas are curious in nature.

If you have tried to find another quokka and still no quokka wants to have a selfie with you, just simply get down to their level and wait.

Scenic Trains – Switzerland

Sky Dive – Rockingham

Rockingham, Western Australia
February 2019

SkyDive Perth

Adventure goal achieved as I did a 15,000 ft Tandem SkyDiving with Sergii at SkyDive Perth. I was with my siblings and we could not have picked the perfect day to do this, clear skies and the best beach weather!

While up there, I realised why Sergii has been doing this for 18 years now. They have an awesome job as they get to enjoy this breathtaking view every time they are working.

Sunset at Uluru – Australia

Swim with Dolphins – Misamis

Misamis, Philippines
March 2012

Inspired by our swim with the whale shark experience earlier in the year, we had to do the swim with the dolphins, too.

We had an hour flight from Cebu to Ozamis and about a 30-minute drive from Ozamis airport to Misamis Aquamarine Park, where we stayed overnight.

Swim with the dolphin experience included feeding the dolphins and snorkelling, where we found Nemo and a group of giant clams.

Swim with Whale Sharks – Cebu

Oslob, Cebu, Philipines
January 2012

In 2012, swimming with the whale sharks was becoming a bit popular in Oslob (Cebu, Philippines). Since Oslob is just 3.5 hour’s drive away from Cebu, my high school best friends and I decided we should go.

We woke up at 3:00 am to get to Oslob early and to avoid traffic. When we got there, we paid the fees, had the ‘Do’s and Don’ts’ briefing and off we went to the small boats.

It only took about 5 minutes before we saw the whale sharks. At first, I got scared at how big it actually is (it is as big as a bus) but then I got excited as it swam right in front of me. It definitely was an amazing experience!

Taupo, New Zealand
January 2024

Taupo Swing

Another adventure goal achieved as I did one of the AJ Hackett Bungy Swings in New Zealand. There is one in Taupo and two in Queenstown.

We did the Taupo Swing. It has a 44m swing and you have the option to do it solo or tandem. I did the swing with my mum. It had such a spectacular view!

We had a very fun and incredible experience that we’re already planning to go back to New Zealand to do the Nevis Swing in Queenstown, which has a 300m swing.

The Ghan – Australia
